So I’m back from a great weekend at Warhammer World at which I attended the first Horus Heresy Throne of Skulls.
Having attended quite a few 40k Throne of Skulls, I had a certain expectation of the people that may attend, but I’m glad to say, everyone was awesome. The whole weekend was filled with talking to cool, enthusiastic hobbyists. The 30k side of the hobby seems to attract, in my opinion, the best people I’ve ever gamed with.
The highlight for me was having my army nominated for Best Army. It was quite an achievement, one of which I’m proud, especially with the fantastic looking armies at the tournament. Here’s a few pictures of the armies which were nominated.
Iron Hands.
Solar Auxillia by Mark of Lemon Painting.
Mechanicum by Benjamin Greaves.
Ultramarines by Demetris Tampakoudis and winner of Best Army.
Solar Auxillia by Promitheas Spyridis.
My own Mechanicum.
World Eaters.
Next Horus Heresy Throne of Skulls is set for January, and I’m getting excited already.
It was an absolute pleasure to be at the event, I whole heartedly agree about the crows there too! Your army was great and I look forward to January where we can hopefully get paired against each other!
